Norbrook Calcitrace D3 is a 175g oral bolus for dairy cows, formulated to help reduce the risk of clinical and subclinical milk fever around calving.
Each bolus provides 45g of calcium and 40,000 IU of vitamin D3, together with magnesium and phosphorus. Norbrook combines fast-release calcium formate and calcium acetate with slower-release calcium sulphate to provide a more consistent calcium supply. Norbrook
Supplied as a pack of 4 boluses, Calcitrace D3 is a useful product to have ready in the calving cupboard, particularly for cows considered at greater risk of milk fever.
Why Calcitrace D3?
The sudden increase in calcium demand around calving can leave dairy cows vulnerable to low blood calcium levels. Calcitrace D3 has been developed specifically for this transition period.
Each bolus contains:
- 45g calcium
- 40,000 IU vitamin D3
- Magnesium
- Phosphorus
- Fast-release calcium formate
- Fast-release calcium acetate
- Slow-release calcium sulphate
- No caustic calcium chloride Norbrook
When to Use
Norbrook recommends administering one bolus at the time of calving and, where necessary, a second bolus 12 hours later. Calcitrace D3 can also be used as additional support following Calciject 40 CM calcium infusion. Norbrook
Always follow the current product label and manufacturer instructions when administering.
