Barrier Animal Health Red Mite Liquid Concentrate 500ml is a natural red mite control solution designed to help tackle one of the most common and damaging poultry parasites. Formulated using a blend of plant extracts, herbal oils and essential oils, it helps control red mite infestations while remaining safe for use around poultry, feed areas and egg-laying birds when used as directed.
The concentrated formula is diluted with water and applied using a knapsack or suitable sprayer. It can be used both as a preventative treatment and to help manage existing infestations. For routine maintenance, the concentrate is diluted at 1:50, while heavier infestations can be treated at 1:20, with repeat treatment recommended after seven days if required.
Red mite spend most of their life cycle within cracks, crevices and housing structures rather than on the birds themselves. Regular treatment of poultry housing can help reduce parasite numbers and improve flock comfort, welfare and productivity.
