Rick - Director /Dairy Engineer
Rick’s been involved in farming for as long as he can remember, which makes ending up as a dairy engineer feel less like a career choice and more like destiny. If it involves cows, stainless steel, or something that’s stopped working five minutes before milking, Rick’s your man.
When he’s not keeping dairies running smoothly, you’ll usually find him cheering (and occasionally suffering) as a devoted Arsenal FC supporter.
Much like dairy engineering, supporting Arsenal requires patience, loyalty, and a strong belief that next season will be the one.
Jackie – Business Manager
Jackie, (Ricks Mum) looks after the financials and sales side of the business, making sure everything adds up and runs as smoothly behind the scenes as it does out front.
She joined us from a background as a registered manager at a care company. Quite the switch, but it's one that brought a wealth of organisation, people skills, and calm decision-making with it.
When she’s not balancing the books or talking sales, Jackie can usually be found lending a hand on her family’s farm or out socialising with friends. From care management to commerce, Jackie proves that transferable skills really do transfer.
Chris – Operations Manager
Chris joined the team when the company took over Alwyn Pickles & Co, bringing with him a wealth of hands-on operations experience and a calm, get-it-done attitude. He thrives on keeping things running smoothly, tackling challenges head-on, and making sure the day-to-day works exactly as it should.
When he’s off the clock, Chris swaps operations planning for matchday planning, following Bradford City home and away. Rain, traffic, long journeys, none of it puts him off. Commitment like that fits right in around here.
Sarah – Customer Service Specialist
Sarah has worked at Alwyn Pickles & Co for more years than she cares to remember, and in that time has become the heart of the shop. She keeps everything running smoothly, makes sure customers are always looked after, and somehow knows exactly where everything is, even when no one else does.
When she’s not keeping the shop on track, Sarah enjoys slowing things down with a good book and a bit of well-earned quiet time. Experience, reliability, and a calm presence. Sarah’s seen it all and keeps it all ticking along.
Alfie – Apprentice Engineer
Alfie is Rick’s apprentice and is currently in training to become an electrician, learning the ropes and picking up skills that’ll keep him in demand for years to come.
Keen, hands-on, and not afraid to get stuck in, Alfie’s quickly becoming a valuable part of the team.
When he’s not training, Alfie can usually be found watching Liverpool, playing PlayStation or eating and drinking pretty much anything in sight, a talent only the young can truly master. Oh, to be young again.
